Casa Valna

Casa Valna JSa Arquitectura

This is a family house in a subdivision of the area of Santa Fe in Mexico City. The first condition for the solution was to give the client a project to optimize building space without sacrificing the program. To achieve this, we faced a number of restrictions that instead of limiting us, pushed us to solve the architectural party “L” with the intent to make the house feel more spacious by uniting the two gardens in the front and back, maximizing the depth of the property.
The resulting space is the compositional axis of the project, a linear sequence of spaces of different character. All the main spaces of the house are subordinate to this axis and are incorporated into it visually and physically by large mobile windows. The color palette is based on the authenticity of the materials like exposed concrete, oiled wood, gray limestone, and the vegetation.
